Former Nigerian international and member of the Nigeria Football Federation’s Technical study group Sam Sodje has stated that the sack of Gernot Rohr has long been coming and one that is okay but have expressed worries on the timing of the decision taken with 26 days to the commencement of the Africa cup of nations in Cameroon.
Sodje speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that the decision had become necessary in the light of the way things had become with the Super Eagles under the watch of the Franco-German.
He thereafter added he will be looking anxiously to see how this works with the team following a change of guard.
