Samuel Chukwueze has pointed to manager Ruben Amorim’s faith and regular starting opportunities as the catalysts behind his resurgence at AC Milan.

Speaking with Footy-Africa, the forward expressed that completing full matches reflects the manager’s belief, noting that he must consistently justify his inclusion on the pitch. He highlighted that unlike the previous campaign when he lacked consistent game time, this term has restored his self-belief and allowed him to showcase his true abilities.

The Nigerian international also reaffirmed the club’s primary ambition, stating that clinching the league crown is always the paramount goal for the squad as they strive to bring joy to the Rossoneri faithful.

Following his 2024 arrival in Milan, Chukwueze faced difficulties finding his rhythm, tallying just three goals and two assists across 26 matches. A subsequent loan stint with Fulham yielded three goals and four assists in 25 appearances, but the Premier League outfit chose not to secure him on a full-time basis.

After returning to San Siro, the 27-year-old has revitalized his role under Amorim’s leadership, earning four starts in Milan’s initial five fixtures and already contributing a pair of assists.
