Nottingham Forest owner, Evangelos Marinakis became the centre of attention during the EuroLeague Basketball final after appearing to be involved in a heated altercation in Athens.

Witnesses at the venue described the exchange as intense, with barriers and security staff quickly stepping in to prevent the situation from escalating further.

Images that later surfaced online appeared to show Marinakis with a ripped shirt and visible marks on his face following the confrontation, adding even more intrigue to an already dramatic night.

Despite the incident, the evening ended positively for Marinakis from a sporting perspective as Olympiacos defeated Real Madrid 92–85 to secure the EuroLeague title in front of jubilant home supporters in Athens.

Marinakis, who also owns Olympiacos alongside Nottingham Forest, was seen celebrating after the final whistle as the Greek club lifted one of European basketball’s biggest trophies.

Recall two seasons ago he got into a verbal spat with then Forest Coach, Nuno Espirito Santo on the pitch after the final whistle of a Premier League match.

Reportedly, the Forest owner was fuming over Nuno’s to leave on an injured Taiwo Awoniyi – who turned out to have ruptured his internal organs after he clattered into the goal post.
