Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle says he remains fully committed to the team and is determined to return Nigeria to its glory days on the continent.
Chelle stated that he has not lost the hunger and desire to succeed with the team despite the enormous pressure that comes with managing the Super Eagles.
The Malian said his determination to win with Nigeria remains as strong as the day he accepted the job.
“When I took the job my goal was to win and I think the next goal is to win.
“Definitely if you are the coach of the Super Eagles you know you have to win there is a lot of pressure, but, I am still ready to do my job and try to give the best for this country.
“I am a lion and fighter I was like that when I took the job and I remain the same.”

There were rumours questioning Chelle’s commitment to the role, especially after reports in the Nigerian media claimed he held talks with Olympique de Marseille and also changed the agency representing him.
Chelle’s current contract with Nigeria is due to expire in January 2027, while discussions over a new deal are yet to reach a conclusion.
However, both the NFF and the National Sports Commission have publicly expressed their desire to retain him as head coach and are expected to continue negotiations aimed at securing a contract extension.
