Kelechi Nwakali scored his first goal for new club Ponferradina which unfortunately was not enough to avoid a 2-1 home loss to Real Zaragoza in the Spanish second division on Sunday.
Ponferradina have now lost their last three fixtures in the Spanish second division.
Nwakali, who made his fifth league appearance for Ponferradina, scored in the 44th minute to draw his side level.
The last time Nwakali scored a goal was in April 2021 during his time at Alcorcon in a 2-1 home loss to Leganes.
Giuliano Simeone, who is the son of Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone, got Zaragoza’s two goals in the 12th and 51st minutes.
The defeat leaves Ponferradina in 14th position with six points in the 22-team league table.
