Villarreal CF coach Unai Emery says he’s satisfied the performance of Samuel Chukwueze and his teammates against Barcelona.
Chukwueze was on target as the Yellow Marines slumped to 3-1 defeat to FC Barcelona on Saturday.
The Super Eagles winger came off the bench in the second half to score the hosts’ only goal in the 76th minute, after he replaced Yeremi Pino in the 65th minute.
Reacting to Villarreal performance, the former Arsenal boss said that he’s satisfied with the performance, but highlighted the work of his team.
“I am happy with the team’s game. We find positive things to continue improving, even if we leave points in LaLiga. ” Emery said, in a press conference.
Chukwueze and his teammates will now put Saturday’s disappointing home loss behind and shift their attention to Tuesday’s Copa del Rey encounter against fifth-tier club Victoria CF.
