Nigeria Football Federation and FIFA sent lovely birthday messages to former Nigeria international, Obafemi Martins 36th birthday.
The World Football Governing Body and their Nigerian counterpart took to their social media handle to celebrate with the former Inter Milan and Newcastle United forward on Wednesday.
“🇳🇬 @Obafemimartins is a man who knows how to celebrate in style. We hope the former @NGSuperEagles forward is backflipping about on his 36th birthday” FIFA wrote on their verified Twitter account.
The Nigeria Football Federation also posted on their handle: Happy birthday @Obafemimartins. Have a good one.
Martin earned 42 Caps for the Super Eagles and scored 19 goals before his retirement from the national team.
He was part of the Super Eagles squad that finished third in the 2006 AFCON in Egypt.
His club honors include: 1 Serie A title, 2 Coppa Italia cup with Inter Milan, 1 EFL Cup won at Birmingham City, 1 US Open Cup, MLS Supporters Shield, and 1 Chinese FA Cup.
