Coach of Nigeria’s U15 national team Haruna Ilerika has described the current Covid-19 pandemic as a big setback for age-grade and developmental national teams while lamenting the effects of the pandemic.
Ilerika speaking in a chat with www.playplay.ng said the Covid-19 scourged affected the NFF’s U13 competition which was supposed to have been running at the state level before the national level.
He added that this competition is the talent pool from where young players are mostly picked and penciled down for the Future Eagles team U15 national team and onward.
