Super Eagles striker Onuachu says he enjoy playing Royal Antwerp, after scoring his fifth goal against them on Friday.

Onuachu helped his club KRC Genk to a 2-3 come back victory against Royal Antwerp in a championship play off game on Friday night.

The goal was Onuachu’s 30th of the season for Genk and fifth against Royal Antwerp since he moved to Belgium back in 2019.

Also, Onuachu was able to equal Wesley Sonk’s club record of 30 goals in a single campaign and he is just one goal away from the catching Josip Weber who scored 31 goals in the regular competition at Cercle Brugge.

Speaking after the game, Onuachu said he loves playing against Royal Antwerp and hope to continue his impressive run of form in front of goal.

“Antwerp is a strong team that plays very physically, but you have to be hard and play smart when you play against such an opponent. We did that today and that suits me.”

“It is not unique in Onuachu ‘s career , he said: “When I still played in Denmark, we played 11 times against the same opponent and I managed to score 11 times. I have the same feeling with Antwerp . So yes I like to play. against Antwerp . ” he concluded.
