FIFA U20 WWC: World Cup-hunting Falconets get France arrival date

Nigeria’s Falconets will arrive France on August 2, four days before their opening game of the tournament, where they’ll hope to end the hoodoo of an elusive international crown.

Per Samuel Ahmadu [Goal], The Falconets will fly into France on Thursday, August 2 for this year’s Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup.

The team have been camped in Tirol, Austria for two weeks as they finalised preparations for the tournament that gets under way on 5 August.

Nigeria will play Germany, Haiti and China in group D as they bid to go a step further than 2010 and 2014 when they reached the finals.

Meanwhile, Head Coach Christopher Danjuma named 21 players including 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 5 midfielders and 5 strikers for the competition.

Opening game for the Falconets is against Germany at the Stade Marville in Saint-Malo.
